LED lighting is becoming more popular because of the numerous advantages LED technique has in comparison with conventional lighting. LEDs have a very long lifespan eliminating the need of replacement. Compared to conventional lighting, LEDs are much more energy efficient. The small form-factor of LEDs makes them suitable for use in creative designs. LED technology itself provides numerous possibilities: by mixing different colors, colors can change dynamicly. One can think about mixing red, green and blue but also of mixing different “whites”. The LED light output is easily controllable and does not require a “start-up” time. The LED light output immediately delivers the required light output. Setting the properties of the light beam is achieved through the use of optical lenses, very narrow and wide angle beams are possible.
